This year Polcon travelled back to Toruń where it was held back in 2018. The main difference, however, is that this time it was joint with the local con – Copernicon, and thus the full name was Copernicon x Polcon. The latter is a huge event spread across most of the city centre.

In July I had the chance to visit Background exhibition at Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology in Kraków. Now in the middle of September I came to see it again and I also participated in one of the events accompanying it. How it was to run a Worldcon
I already wrote a report covering my Glasgow 2024 experience. In short, I found the convention superb but mine is a very subjective opinion. In the report I promised to cover one more topic – how it was to run a Worldcon. This is not a trivial question but here I try to answer it.

Where should I begin? It was a long Worldcon and a very special one for me. As probably my readers know I was in the concom for Glasgow 2024 A Worldcon for our Futures. This means that the convention itself was a bit different when compared to my previous Worldcons.
