Oh dear, it took me a while to write this post. There are a few reasons for this including a lot of things I had to do shortly after winning the GUFF race. Still, here I am to share with you how it went and how it matters to me.
What can I pack in my “fandom suitcase”?
I am participating in the GUFF race and I have already described my approach towards it. Now, when the ballot is online, I am constantly thinking about what I will do if I win? What should I be doing? And, last but not least, how should I let everyone know that it is worth to vote for me?
GUFF or there and back again
I am not sure when I heard about Fan Funds for the first time. Maybe it was at Eurocon in Zagreb (2012) where I met Kylie Ding who was a GUFF delegate that year. Or maybe I have seen the information earlier? Anyways, I started to seriously think about GUFF for the first time during Pyrkon 2015, when I had a fantable just next to Mihaela-Marija Perković, who was both representing Sferakon and administering GUFF at that time.
2017 passed and 2018 is starting
It is hard to believe that 2017 has passed so fast. It was quite an active year for me although relatively calm when it comes to conrunning (but not congoing!). So what did I do? How it went and what are my plans for the future?
My involvement in Hugo Awards ceremony
I promised a post about the Hugo ceremony (and my involvement in it) and here it is. Being able to participate in the ceremony was really a great experience and an honour. I knew before that it would be awesome, but I didn’t realize how much joy it will bring. This post is probably a little bit more emotional than the previous ones, but I hope you won’t mind and will still find it interesting.
