Wirtualkon was a very short manga and anime convention. It was an experiment for organizers (and I also treated it as such). The whole event was much too short for me to write a longer report but I have a few thoughts to share. Also, I decided to concentrate more on the platform that had been used to make this con.
Konline – My First Online Convention
I recently posted on entry on my blog about online geeking, so I had to try and see how online conventing actually works. I had a great opportunity to experience it since during the last weekend of March a Polish online convention Konline was held. Since I attended it and I enjoyed myself, I have some more thoughts on the topic now.
Nordcon 2019 – a grand finale of the convention season
Nordcon is a Polish relaxacon that conveniently takes place at the end of the year. In recent years, it was the last convention of the year for me. 2019 was no different – Nordcon 2019 took place over the first full December weekend and unless something surprising happens, it is, as of now, my last convention this year.

Falkon 20 but not quite Falkon 2.0
The previous Falkon had not been such a great experience so I had slightly mixed feelings about attending it this year. Yet somehow, going to Lublin for Falkon has been my tradition so I decided to give it a try. I must admit that I was also tempted by the name, Falkon 2.0, suggesting it won’t be just a 20th Falkon but also one with some new quality to it.
Imladris 2019 – great jubilee
Oh dear, Imladris 2019 was my 200th convention (this number deserves another post that will follow relatively soon). I had such a great time and I am extremely happy about the con. It was magical in many ways it was definitely one of my best cons this year.
Plansówki 2019 – slightly smaller but still full of fun
Plansówki 2019 was the second convention with this name for me. Similarly to the last years’ convention, it was devoted to board games yet there was one additional thing this year added – a location-based game. Apart from that the rest of the con was to a certain extent similar to what I experienced in 2018.

I spent the con playing games, again – Copernicon 2019
The Copernicon I attended last year was mainly a gaming event to me – the same happened this year. The difference is that Copernicon 2019 felt much too short to me. I had a great time anyway and Toruń remains one of my favourite cities in Poland.

Pyrkon 2019 – queuing surprise
During the last few years Pyrkon has become an important convention for me (and for thousands other SFF fans in Poland). With the convention growing bigger and bigger my approach towards it have shifted, but it was – and still is – a convention I keepdoing my best to attend every year. Still, when writing about it now, I have to mention one issue. Pyrkon is too big for me to be able to grasp everything that goes on during this convention. My report below is not really a Pyrkon 2019 report. It is merely a report on a small part of the con.
Lajconik 2019 – convention that grows
Lajconik is one of my favourite conventions and I always do everything I can to attend it. When I became the chair of the SFF club organizing it, I decided to appear there as an attendee ant not as one of the staff members (I am always available for any help if needed, of course). This year, my time at Lajconik was limited, but it was still a lot of fun.
Dragons invading Silesia – a report from ŚDF
Last year, Śląski Klub Fantastyki (Silesian SFF club) launched a new convention – Śląskie Dni Fantastyki (The Silesian SFF days, ŚDF). This year ŚDF took place for the second time. I had the pleasure to visit the convention and see all the dragons that were there.
